Ways to Feed Ruff Greens

We have found that most dogs will enjoy Ruff Greens® right from your hand. Some will like it better when placed directly on top of or mixed with their current dog food. But, some dogs prefer to eat Ruff Greens® when mixed with wet food or raw hamburger. And some, like it in their water. Each dog is different, so try them all and see which way your Furry Friend likes it best.

Out of Your Hand Method

A lot of dogs will eat Ruff Greens right out of your hand! Begin with a small amount and increase over two weeks’ time to the suggested amount on the package. Always feed by weight. This is the best way, because YOU are in control of how much they actually get at one time.

Sprinkle On Top Method

Many dogs will enjoy when served on top of their favorite food, adding the balance most dead foods need. Begin with ¼ of daily suggestion for a week, then increase slowly. This will ensure a less tummy upset when introducing new foods.

Bottom of the Bowl Method

Mix your daily dose of Ruff Greens with a small amount of water or milk until it is thoroughly mix in and place in the bottom of your dog’s bowl. Then place their dry food over the top of the liquid. Give it a minute or two to soak up into the kibble and they should be licking the bottom of the bowl in a few days.

Mini-Pinch Method

Place the smallest amount on the bottom of your pet’s food bowl. Add 2 Tablespoons of water or broth. On top of that, add dry kibble and let it absorb the liquid. Do not stir food with the liquid. Increase the amount of Ruff Greens over a few weeks. As your dog eats, they will consume their food and Ruff Greens!

Gravy Method

Take a spoonful of some kind of gravy, chicken or beef usually works well. Mix a pinch of Ruff Greens into the Gravy and let them lick it right off the spoon. Next day, add a bit more and so on, until you have them eating it for about a week or so out of the spoon. Then, do the exact same thing but this time put the gravy on top of their food.

Do that for about a week, increasing the amount of Ruff Greens daily until you get to the recommended amount for your dog. Then start reducing the gravy and mixing Ruff Greens right into their food. Congratulations for doing something GREAT for your dog!

Hide N' Seek Method

Mix a Tiny amount in a Meat Ball, Plain Yogurt, Cottage Cheese or any of your pup’s favorite foods. As your dog enjoys this method/amount, slowly increase over the next few weeks until you are feeding the recommended amount on the packaging – by weight.

NOTE: It is best to limit your dog’s food intake 24 hours prior to introducing Ruff Greens
and remember to “SLOWLY” introduce it to their diet. The optimum daily servings are on the package.
